3 COVID19 Cases Confirmed at Taipei Quarantine Hotel

The CECC says 3 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at a quarantine
hotel in Taipei.

The Central Epidemic Command Center says one of the infections have been
confirmed to be the omicron variant, while test results for the other two
will be available tomorrow at the earliest.

The center says tomorrow's results and genome sequencing will help determine
whether the cases are part of the same cluster infection.

Officials say the hotel has been fully evacuated.

Of the 81 people who require testing, 62 have been confirmed negative so far,
while 14 are still awaiting tests.
