Section of southern cross-island highway to be partially re-opened

A section of the southern cross-island highway that's been closed for the
past four months will be re-opened on Monday.

Taiwan's Highway Bureau said the section from Yakou to Xiangyang will be
re-opened, but traffic will still be restricted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays as workers put the final touches on repairs made after damage from
Typhoon Danas in early July and torrential rains later that month.

The highway bureau reminds drivers to read roadside bulletin boards carefully
and be aware that landslides are still a possibility.
