Typhoon Muifa warning lifted

The Central Weather Bureau reports that typhoon warnings for Typhoon Muifa
have been cancelled.

The bureau says Muifa is located in waters around 290 kilometers northeast of
Taipei, and it’s moving north-northwest at a speed of 15 up to 19
kilometers-per-hour.

Though Muifa has moved away from the island, rain is still still expected to
fall through tonight, especially in mountainous areas in the north and
center.

Meanwhile, a tropical depression about 1-thousand-800 kilometers away from
the island may develop into storm by the end of the day.

It is forecast to move in a north-northwest direction.

The CWB will continue to monitor conditions to determine whether it will
affect Taiwan.
