The Taichung city government says, it's looking into why the Chinese national seal appeared on ads posted in a social housing unit explaining a consumers' rights law.
That's after DPP city councilors raised concerns about potential lax oversight on such materials.
DPP council caucus whip Zhou Yong Hong says, the issue came to his attention when a resident noticed that an ad in the elevator of a social housing unit included the seal of the PRC governmen他above a caption reading "central/local governments."
The ad stated that it came from the Housing Development Department, and that the image was generated by an AI chatbot.
Zhou called on the city government to remove all such materials and thoroughly investigate other such ads...
in addition to clarifying which government agency was responsible for the ad.
The Housing Development Department apologized for the mistake and said it would conduct an internal review.
