Trump confirms tense call with Netanyahu

U.S. President Donald Trump says he did call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu "crazy" during a tense phone call over fighting in Lebanon.

Trump confirmed the comment in a podcast interview broadcast Wednesday.

He said he was upset by Netanyahu's continued fighting with Lebanon while
Washington was trying to end hostilities with Iran.

Netanyahu downplayed the reported rift, saying the two leaders still have
common goals.

He described the dispute as a tactical disagreement.

The comments come as Israel and Hezbollah continue trading attacks, despite a
U.S.-mediated deal announced Monday.

Trump also defended his Iran policy, saying he acted to stop Tehran from
getting a nuclear weapon.
