Pop star Jolin Tsai has wrapped up her Ugly Beauty tour that attracted a total of 250-thousand fans to her 23 shows.
She staged "Finale in Taipei" at Taipei Arena last night and ended it with a coronation ceremony for herself.
The tour kicked off 3 years ago and was initially scheduled to include several Chinese cities, but in the end she only performed in Taipei and Kaohsiung due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Tsai earned an estimated 680 million NT in ticket sales, the cost of productions was 400 million NT.
Local media reported that she had tailor-made 35 dazzling costumes for herself and 155 costumes for the 16 professional dancers hired from around the world.
The singer/songwriter alse spent 40 million NT to rent the Xin-zhuang stadium for a week in November 2019 to rehearse for the Ugly Beauty tour.
Tickets for all her shows were sold out minutes after they became available, forcing Tsai to add more shows.
She told fans she'll start preparing for her new album after the tour.
