A new shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine doses has arrived in
Taiwan.

The shipment arrived at Taoyuan International Airport at 6:15 this morning on
a China Airlines flight Frankfurt Airport, Germany.

And it was sent to designated cold storage facilty for inspection by the Food
and Drug Administration immediately after its arrival.

It's the ninth shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine does to have
been shipped to Taiwan since early September.

Health officials have not released any information detailing how many doses
were in the shipment.

But the the Central Epidemic Command Center will make a formal announcments
concerning the delivery later today.

The doses are part of a joint purchase of a total of 15-million doses of the
Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine by Hon Hai's Yong-Ling Foundation, Taiwan
Semiconductor Manufacturing and the Tzu Chi Foundation.

Taoyuan International Airport officials are being cited as saying another a
batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses is slated to arrive tomorrow morning.
