MOL: Most Kaohsiung Fire Victims Covered by Insurance

The Ministry of Labor says most of the victims from last week's Kaohsiung
fire were covered by some form of government insurance.

Of the 46 people who died in the blaze, the MOL says 18 were covered by labor
insurance, 24 by national insurance, and 1 by farmer insurance.

Just three of the deceased were not covered by any insurance program.

Families of the insured deceased can apply to receive the insurance payments.

Families of the uninsured can also seek government funeral grants.
