MOFA: American and Canadian Naval Vessels Sailed through Taiwan Strait

MOFA confirms the transit of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer
USS Dewey through the Taiwan Strait along with the Canadian frigate H-M-C-S
Winnipeg on 14th and 15th.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed that the U.S., Japan, the
U.K, the Netherlands, Canada and New Zealand conducted joint military
exercises southwest of Okinawa on October 2nd and 3rd

MOFA says the moves demonstrated the U.S. and its allies' commitment to
maintaining a "free and open Indo-Pacific region."

The Ministry typically acknowledges the passing through of U.S. naval vessels
after the U.S. military announced it.
