CF Warning About Package Scams

The Consumers Foundation is warning about fake package scams.

The CF says some fraudsters are taking advantage of the rise of online
shopping to swindle unsuspecting netizens.

They send cash-on-delivery packages to their victims, who only find out they
didn't actually order the items until after they have already paid.

The Foundation is urging the public to be on high alert over these scams, and
to call the 165 anti-fraud hotline if they think they've been a victim.

It is also urging convenience stores to freeze accounts that have been
repeatedly accused of fraud.
