XPEC directors to face no charges
Posted on 2017-10-12 08:19:13
The Taipei District Prosecutors' Office has dropped all charges against three
XPEC Entertainment independent directors as part of a fraud investigation.

The office Wednesday dropped the charges against media personality Sisy Chen,
former economics minister Yin Qi-ming and former Taipei deputy mayor Lee
Yong-ping.

Prosecutors say evidence in the case shows that XPEC chairman Aaron Hsu acted
alone in stock manipulation and the illegal transfer of company assets.

Hsu was charged earlier this year with violating the Securities Exchange Act
and the Business Entity Accounting Act.

Prosecutors are seeking a 30-year jail term for the former XPEC chairman.

The charges stem from allegations Hsu colluded with two foreign companies to
manipulate XPEC's stock price.
