I Dreamed a Dream (From Les Mis)
Broadway musicals have always had a special meaning to me as it reminds me of my childhood. Even at a young age, my family would listen to Les Mis or Wicked in the car. I was too young to understand the meanings of the songs, but that didn’t stop me from singing them. I even taught myself the cockney accent just to imitate the singers in Les Mis. Now, as a teenager, I realize how Broadway has shaped me into who I am today. I appreciate the beauty of music and its power to convey a message which can be universally understood.
